Ingredients
  

  • 3-4 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 packet French onion soup mix or homemade seasoning blend
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 6-8 hoagie rolls or French baguettes
  • 2 cups provolone or Swiss cheese shredded or sliced
  • Fresh parsley optional, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Rub beef chuck roast with garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Place in Crockpot.
  • Sprinkle French onion soup mix over the beef and add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours until beef is tender.
  • Shred beef using two forks and stir into the au jus sauce.
  • Toast hoagie rolls and assemble sandwiches with shredded beef and cheese.
  • Optional: Broil for a few minutes to melt cheese.
  • Serve with au jus for dipping and garnish with parsley if desired.
