3-4 pounds beef chuck roast 1 packet French onion soup mix or homemade seasoning blend 1 cup beef broth 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon onion powder 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 6-8 hoagie rolls or French baguettes 2 cups provolone or Swiss cheese shredded or sliced Fresh parsley optional, for garnish
Rub beef chuck roast with garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Place in Crockpot.
Sprinkle French onion soup mix over the beef and add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours until beef is tender.
Shred beef using two forks and stir into the au jus sauce.
