Crockpot Green Bean Casserole

2 cans 14.5 oz green beans, drained (or 4 cups fresh or frozen green beans) 1 can 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup (or use cream of chicken for variation) 1 cup sour cream 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon onion powder 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese optional, for a cheesy version 1 1/2 cups crispy fried onions reserve half for topping 1/2 cup milk
Grease the Crockpot and add the green beans.
In a bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
Pour the creamy mixture over the green beans and stir to combine.
Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
Stir in half of the crispy fried onions about 30 minutes before serving.
Top with the remaining fried onions and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes.
