Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix dry seasoning
  • 1 can 10.5 oz cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth or water
  • 1/2 cup sour cream optional, for extra creaminess
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley optional, for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare the Chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Make the Sauce: In a separate bowl, combine the ranch dressing mix, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, and sour cream (if using). Mix until smooth.
  • Layer in the Crockpot: Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the bottom of the Crockpot. Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken, ensuring it is evenly coated.
  • Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
  • Shred the Chicken: Once cooked, shred the chicken using two forks directly in the Crockpot or remove it to shred on a plate.
  • Serve: Serve the shredded ranch chicken with mashed potatoes, rice, or over a salad. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley if desired. Enjoy!
