Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon white wine optional
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Instructions
 

  • Set the oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a baking dish or individual ramekins.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and sauté garlic for about 30 seconds.
  • Add shrimp, salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and lemon zest, cooking for 1-2 minutes until just pink. Remove from heat.
  • In a saucepan, heat heavy cream over medium heat. Stir in Parmesan cheese, nutmeg, Italian seasoning, and white wine (if using).
  • Simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Transfer the cooked shrimp to the prepared baking dish.
  • Pour the creamy sauce over the shrimp, spreading evenly.
  • In a small bowl, mix panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and melted butter until well combined.
  • Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the shrimp and sauce.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crispy.
  • Garnish and Serve
  • Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve immediately with crusty bread, pasta, or a fresh salad. Enjoy!
