Instructions
Prepare the Shrimp: Peel and devein the shrimp (if not already done). Pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes (if using). Whisk together until smooth and set aside.
Cook the Shrimp: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp in a single layer. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Be careful not to overcook them.
Add the Garlic: Once the shrimp is cooked, add minced garlic to the skillet. Stir and cook for 1 minute until fragrant, making sure the garlic doesn’t burn.
Add the Honey Sauce: Pour the prepared honey soy sauce mixture into the pan. Stir well to coat the shrimp. Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly.
Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and transfer the shrimp to a serving dish. Drizzle any remaining sauce over the shrimp. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
