Lemon Garlic Butter Shrimp

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 5 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice about 1 lemon
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions
 

  • Prepare Shrimp: Peel and devein shrimp, then rinse and pat dry with paper towels.
  • Cook Shrimp: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  • Make Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
  • Add Lemon: Stir in lemon zest and fresh lemon juice. Simmer for 2 minutes to allow the sauce to thicken slightly.
  • Toss Shrimp: Return shrimp to the skillet and toss in the lemon garlic butter sauce. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired.
  • Serve: Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges. Enjoy!
