Place chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker.

Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or until the chicken is tender and easily shredded.
Remove the chicken from the slow cooker and set it aside.
To thicken the sauce, whisk cornstarch and water to create a slurry, then stir it into the sauce.
Turn the slow cooker to high and cook for an additional 10 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
Shred the chicken and return it to the slow cooker, stirring it into the sauce.
Serve the shredded chicken with rice, mashed potatoes, or your preferred side dish.
