Season the Chicken: Sprinkle salt, pepper, garlic powder, and ranch dressing mix over the chicken breasts.
Mix the Sauce: In a bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, sour cream (optional), and ranch seasoning.
Layer in Crockpot: Add uncooked rice to the bottom of the Crockpot. Place the seasoned chicken breasts on top. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken and rice.
Cook: Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or on high for 2-3 hours.
Add Broccoli: 30 minutes before the cooking time is up, stir in fresh broccoli florets.
